The college was initially affiliated to the University of Calcutta and from 1999 it is affiliated to the the University of Kalyani for the following courses with following combination subjects :-

1. Combination Subjects: for B.A. General(Morning Shift)
Choose any three subjects out of the following four subjects:

i) Bengali
ii) History
iii) Philosophy
iv) Political Science.


2. For B.A. General(Day Shift):
Choose any three subjects out of the following subjects:

i) Bengali/English
ii) History/Film Studies/Philosophy
iii) Political Science/Sanskrit/Economics

 

3. For B.Sc. General(day shift):
Choose any three subjects out of the following subjects:
i) Mathematics
ii) Economics
iii) Geography/Political Science/Film Studies.

 

 

4. For B.A Hons.(day shift):

N.B Total no of seats in Economics Honours are 20 taking both B.A & B.Sc

NOTE

  • 1. Students with subjects combination other than as prescribed in the prospectus will not be allowed.
  • 2. It is to be specially noted that a candidate who did not opt for a subject (specially science subjects) or appeared but could not obtain pass mark in that subject at the previous qualifying examination i.e. H.S.(10+2) or its equivalent, is not allowed to take up that subject at the Degree Course.Students are advised to select their subjects combination very carefully at the time of Admission as rules for change of combination subjects are strictly regulated by the relevant rules and regulations of the University of Kalyani.The Principal, however,reserves the right,within the framework of relevant rules and regulations to ask a student to interchange a subject,if considered necessary ,for the benefit of the student or in the interest of the Institution.
  • 3. Compulsory Language: English & Bengali, and Environmental Studies are compulsory for all streams.
  • 4. Besides the above mentioned combination subjects an Honours/General student is to take up compulsory Bengali and English and Environmental Science.
